The Xtreme ChargeTM is a Five-Stage Maintenance Charger. When your battery is first connected the Xtreme ChargeTM unit evaluates your battery thoroughly to determine the proper charge rate based on your batteries size and condition. This evaluation continues for as long as your battery is connected to the charger. Every 30 seconds or so you'll see the 'test' LED for about a half second and then go out. Your battery has just been retested.

The normal routine for a just connected battery is to see the test LED come on and then another LED light indicating the state of charge your battery is at light up as well as two pulse indication LEDs light up.

This test step incorporates a "Bad Battery" indication if it determines the battery is faulty and cannot be re-charged.

The Xtreme ChargeTM has a variable float charge. PulseTech's intelligent circuitry imposes the correct amount of charge rate as determined by the continual evaluation of the battery's condition. The charge rate may be as small as 0.2 A during typical float up to 2.5 A for more deeply discharged batteries.

As your battery comes up to full charge the Xtreme ChargeTM charger reduces the charge current all the while continuing to pulse your battery. You'll then see the 100% charge level LED light up and the charge LED light turn off. When your battery has reached this 100% charge level the Xtreme ChargeTM charger continous to pulse your battery reducing any lead sulfate crystal buildup and maximizing your batteries charge acceptance.

Note: The patented pulse technology of the Xtreme ChargeTM charger 'doubles' the 2.5A charge output to that of an equivalent 5A charger not equipped with PulseTech's patented pulse technology. Pulsed batteries waste far less charge current as heat, something all of us have felt when we feel the warmth of a charging battery.

If your battery is determined to have excessive sulfation buildup a proprietary computer-integrated technology measures both voltage and current to determine the appropriate amount of charge the battery is able to accept at any given time. As the pulse and saturation charges improve the battery's condition, the charge rate may be increased safely to an optimal level. This proprietary algorithm protects the battery from the risk of damage due to overcharging.

PulseTech's unique and patented PULSE technology increases the duty and life cycles of any size or type of 12-V lead-acid battery by minimizing the size of the lead sulfate crystals. This allows a battery to accept as much charge as possible.

PULSE technology helps ensure that your new batteries will stay in like-new condition while older batteries often improve dramatically. Duty cycles are typically extended from three to five times for all types of lead-acid batteries.

Xtreme ChargeTM is ideally suited for AGM and maintenance-free batteries (from less than 10 Ah to over 150 Ah capacity). The combination of patented pulse technology and proprietary charging algorithm typically allows the Xtreme ChargeTM to charge these high-performance batteries more fully.

It also maintains a safe charge profile for traditional batteries including flooded, fill and charge and gel cell.

Both the single and the dual station Xtreme ChargeTM chargers come with quick disconnect fused leads, a battery (alligator) clamp and a lead with ring connectors.

Fuse protected, UL and CE certified. Five year warranty.
