Amsoil Recommended for RV Applications

Bill Farlow, editor of the "Under the Hood" column for Coast to Coast (Nov/Dec. 1997) was asked- "Are synthetic lubricants as good as they claim to be when used in an RV application?"
He responded, "Yes, synthetic lubricants produced by major companies are as good as claimed. As long as you stay with a major company, you can be assured of a good product. One of the best is AMSOIL.

There are two ways you can justify the additional cost per quart. One is to triple the usual drain period. The other is to install a quality bypass engine-oil filter and have the oil analyzed at regular intervals, changing the oil when the lab says to....

Find a lab that’s convenient to use – most large over-the-road truck dealers have such a service available; so does AMSOIL – and stay with the same lab so that you get good continuity in the testing."
