AMSOIL Direct Jobber Ray Teegarden is Vice President of Sales for Trick Enterprises, Inc., the largest retailer and distributor of racing gasoline in the West. Ray has been using his connections with race engine builders and race car owners and AMSOIL Series 2000 products to steadily build his AMSOIL business. Series 2000 Synthetic 0W-30 Motor Oil in particular has become a favorite in the racing world for its ability to boost horsepower without sacrificing engine protection. Owner and AMSOIL Dealer Gene Monaco of Spokane, Washington and Driver Kevin Richards are using AMSOIL Series 2000 0W-30 and 20W-50 in their NASCAR Southwest Tour race car. The Chevrolet 358 c.i. engine has a 9:1 compression and holds 18 quarts of oil in the dry sump pump system. They alternate with Series 2000 0W-30 most of the time along with 20W-50 for more extreme engine protection. "It's common for drivers to qualify their cars for races with low viscosity oils because low viscosity oils give the most horsepower," said Teegarden. "Most drivers use a higher viscosity oil during races for better engine protection in grueling conditions. Series 2000 Synthetic 0W-30, a power-promoting low viscosity oil, has proven so effective against engine wear, racers use it in races as well as in qualifying heats. That level of engine protection is unique to Series 2000." "AMSOIL Series 2000 products are the biggest revolution in racing in the past 15 In fact, this oil protects so well, some drivers continue using it after a race. "We've been able to run the Series 2000 for three consecutive races instead of changing oil after every race," said Monaco. Another racer used it at Las Vegas new super speedway where he was second fastest qualifier. Then his engine (with the same Series 2000 Synthetic 0W-30 in the crankcase) was put in a road race car for three days practice. When the pan was pulled, the engine and the oil were like new. That car logged the fastest lap of the Las Vegas super speedway race on lap 131. Fast laps are unusual late in a race, due to a number of factors, including a tendency for engine temperature to increase and horsepower to decrease. Top oil sump builder Roy Johnson, of Johnson HTP (High Tech Performance) built the oil sump on the engine for the Winston Cup 18-wheeler that hauls Gene Monaco's race car between races. He believes that the Series 2000 is the best oil in the business. Series 2000 products have created a market for Teegarden, and the AMSOIL Retail Catalog has created an ideal marketing tool for him. Teegarden signs engine builders nationwide as Dealers and introduces them to the AMSOIL Retail Catalog. The builders give catalogs to their customers who order Series 2000 0W-30 Motor Oil from it. The builders profit by getting commissions from the motor oil sales without having to maintain inventory. Customers get the benefits of quick, easy order fulfillment and of course, the benefit of using the builder's preferred oil. "AMSOIL Series 2000 products are the biggest revolution in racing in the past 15 years," says Teegarden. "They combine the best of all worlds more horsepower and better engine protection. Four-Ball Wear Test results (reported on product labels) prove the superiority of the wear protection and engine builders prove the horsepower increase themselves when they put the oil to a dyno test." With serious racers on the NASCAR circuit using AMSOIL Series 2000, and top engine builders around the country recommending it for the engines, the word is really getting out. "Im glad that there is this much excitement building around this product," said Teegarden. "The Series 2000 deserves it." |
