PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
AMSOIL Synthetic TB Series Antiwear Hydraulic Oils are long-life, extended-drain premium hydraulic lubricants, based on novel, proprietary technology. TB Series Oils significantly improve operational temperatures, hydrolytic stability, oxidative resistance and wear protection. AMSOIL TB Hydraulic Oils incorporate the highest quality shear-stable, synthetic fluids and are fortified with a premium ashless (non-zinc) antiwear hydraulic/R&0 additive system for maximum protection in low- and high pressure gear, vane and piston pumps. AMSOIL TB Series Oils typically eliminate deficiencies common to vegetable-based biodegradable hydraulic lubricants: specifically, severe thermal and oxidative degradation (which causes varnish and sludge formation), oil and water emulsions (which can lead to rust and excessive wear), lubricant degradation and weight loss (due to hydrolytic instability or high-temperature vaporization or polymerization). The unique synthetic base fluids ensure problem-free operation with service intervals up to 10 times longer than possible with petroleum or vegetable oil based lubricants. Studies indicate that synthetic lubricants can reduce energy consumption by as much as 10 percent, while providing clean, problem-free operation, extended oil drain intervals and increased uptime. This performance increases efficiency and savings on energy, repair and maintenance costs.

APPLICATION RECOMMENDATION

AMSOIL Synthetic. TB Series Hydraulic Oils are recommended for most high- and low-pressure gear, vane and piston industrial and mobile hydraulic applications where biodegradability or temperature extremes are a consideration. AMSOIL TB Series Oils are 80 percent biodegradable (based on the CEC L-33-T-82 Biodegradability Test) and have demonstrated pour points down to -85 F (based on the ASTM D-97 Pour Point Test). The ability of AMSOIL TB Series Hydraulic Oils to dramatically extend drain intervals is subject to operating environments and maintenance practices and should be monitored by oil analysis.

AMSOIL TB Series Oils are especially well suited for applications where environmental contamination due to blown hydraulic lines presents an environmental hazard, such as use by power companies and utilities or in off-shore drilling applications.

Although AMSOIL lubricants are compatible with mineral oil based lubricants, for optimum performance it is recommended that the system be thoroughly drained and cleaned, if warranted.

AMSOIL warrants that the use of its lubricants will not cause mechanical damage to any mechanically sound equipment when AMSOIL products are used in full compliance with the company’s recommendations. However, the purchaser of these lubricants is responsible for determining if these specifications are adequate and proper for the intended application. The AMSOIL warranty is limited to lubricant performance consistent with indicated specifications. No additional warranty, expressed or implied, can be made.
