Two-stroke powersports equipment is meant to be ridden hard. Repeatedly
pushing a machine to wide-open throttle during all-day, aggressive
riding, however, takes its toll on the engine.
INTERCEPTOR Synthetic
2-Stroke Oil is specifically designed for reliability and longevity in

Anti-Scuff/Anti-Wear
Two-stroke powersports engines have evolved to run on leaner gas-to-oil mixtures, increasing harmful friction and heat. INTERCEPTOR’s synthetic formulation incorporates high-molecular-weight components with high flash points that resist burn-off. As a result, a greater amount of oil survives the combustion process to provide lubrication and protection. Its excellent lubricity and film strength inhibit metal-to-metal contact. In extreme dynamometer testing, INTERCEPTOR’s anti-scuff/anti-wear formula completely prevented piston skirt scuffing.
Excellent Deposit Control
INTERCEPTOR naturally resists harmful deposits due to its thermally stable synthetic formulation. It is additionally fortified with high-temperature detergency and dispersancy additives that provide excellent engine cleanliness. Proven in Extreme Dynamometer Test on Rotax® E-TEC® Engine
INTERCEPTOR was installed in a 2012 BRP® Ski-Doo® Renegade X snowmobile
equipped with a Rotax E-TEC 800R engine. Following 50 hours of
severe-duty engine dynamometer testing designed to simulate a full
season of real-world conditions, the engine was disassembled and rated
for deposits, wear and other distress by an ASTM calibrated rater. Each
component earned a merit rating on a scale of 0 to 10 (with 10
representing no distress) or a percentage rating (with 0 percent
representing no distress). Results prove INTERCEPTOR excelled at

Nov 2012: Amsoil Interceptor vs BRP XPS-2 Synthetic comparison test. This is a good read, the take away from this is to know that with knowledge you indeed have a choice... you can choose to pay more for BRP XPS-2 Synthetic and receive lower performance or you can choose to use Amsoil Interceptor, receive higher performance and save some cash.

Warranty? Using another oil other than OEM labelled oil has no impact on warranty, unless the oil itself caused the problem, which makes sense right? Use Amsoil and you get Amsoil warranty, whether your sled is covered by OEM warranty or not.
Video Script: - To document the performance of Amsoil Interceptor Synthetic 2-Stroke oil in Rotax E-TEC engines, Amsoil Interceptor was compared to XPS-2 synthetic 2-cycle oil in extreme dynamometer testing.
XPS-2 2-cycle oil was installed in a 2012 Ski-Doo Renegade X snowmobile equipped with a Rotax E-TEC 800R engine. The snowmobile was run for 50 hours attached to a computer operated engine dynamometer, sufficient time to replicate an entire riding season, operating conditions included idle time, partial throttle operation and full throttle operation.
To simulate aggressive riding the snowmobile was pushed to it's maximum rpm repeatadly. Variables including fuel quality, coolant mix ratio, rpm and engine load were controlled through-out.
Following the test the engine was disassembled and reassembled with new BRP authorized parts. The 50 hour procedure was repeated using Amsoil Interceptor.
